Don’t outsource your fatherhood to AI.

A 35-minute deep dive on the rhythm of the cohort — why imperfect actions stack, the Mon/Wed/Fri cadence, the comment-magnet question, and the strict Sabbath rest that holds the whole framework together. (Generated from an earlier 5-week version of the cohort; the principles are unchanged. A 7-week re-record is planned.)

Monday Kickoff Week 1W1.M

Vision · Kickoff

Welcome, captain.

Seven weeks. Twenty-one tasks. One plan — yours.

Week 1 is Vision. Before you touch any tool, you say where you're going. A man without a written vision is steered by the most recent email.

📜 "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that he may run who reads it." — [Habakkuk 2:2](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — Draft Your AI Charter (5 lines)
· SACA 2 — Write Your 5-Year Captain's Vision
· SACA 3 — Build Your Wheelhouse (Creed + Log + the 0600 send)

Open the index. Open W1.T1. Ship it today. React ✓ when you do.

Captain's Call Week 1W1.W

Vision · Mid-week Call

Captains — Wednesday check.

If you've shipped T1, drop one line of your charter in the comments. Not the whole thing. Just one line.

If you haven't shipped yet — open W1.T1 right now. The charter is five lines. It's the rep, not the workout.

The man who writes the charter is the man who keeps the helm. The man who skips it has already handed it to the model.

Friday Close-Out Week 1W1.F

Vision · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [Habakkuk 2:2](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud. Once before dinner. Once before bed.

Then ask yourself: did this week's vision get plain, or did it stay busy?

Weekend ahead — your wife and kids don't need your plan. They need you present.

Sabbath drill: off. Rest is part of the rep.

Monday Kickoff Week 2W2.M

Body · Kickoff

Week 2: Body.

Vision named the destination. Body is the boat that carries you there.

📜 "Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Glorify God in your body." — [1 Corinthians 6:19–20](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — Weekly Movement Practice (3× strength + 2× walking, calendared)
· SACA 2 — Captain's Meal Plan (protein-forward, one week)
· SACA 3 — Automate Your Weekly Body Review (one Log line a day; Sunday reads it)

If you can't carry your wife's groceries up two flights at 50, the family will know. Show up imperfectly. Start lower than you think.

Captain's Call Week 2W2.W

Body · Mid-week Call

Wednesday body-check.

Did the movement land on the calendar — or in the "next week" folder?

One captain who showed up Monday is more honest than three who planned perfectly and didn't move.

Drop a one-liner: what did you actually do for your body this week? (Walk counts. Push-ups before coffee counts. Skipped a third drink counts.)

Friday Close-Out Week 2W2.F

Body · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [1 Corinthians 6:19–20](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud.

Then ask: what does temple stewardship look like Monday morning — not at the gym, but at the kitchen counter, the bedside lamp, the cup of coffee?

Sabbath drill: off. The temple needs rest more than it needs another set.

Monday Kickoff Week 3W3.M

Spiritual · Kickoff

Week 3: Spiritual.

Body has the strength. Spiritual has the steering. A captain who outsources prayer becomes the manager of his soul.

📜 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night." — [Joshua 1:8](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week's tasks (note: you lead, AI assists):
· SACA 1 — 10-Min Scripture Study, You Lead
· SACA 2 — Family Devotion Generator (Friday-night devo)
· SACA 3 — The 5:25 Prayer Loop (daily alarm; weekly answered-prayer review)

AI is a research partner. The Spirit is the teacher. Don't confuse them.

Captain's Call Week 3W3.W

Spiritual · Mid-week Call

Wednesday — Spirit check.

If you've done T1: drop the passage you studied (not your conclusions). Iron sharpens iron when we see what each other is sitting in.

If you haven't: pick five verses. Read them aloud twice. No screens. Then open Claude for context only.

The captain who can't read Scripture without a study guide is still in basic training.

Friday Close-Out Week 3W3.F

Spiritual · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [Joshua 1:8](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud.

Then ask: when did you last meditate on Scripture day and night — not on a podcast about Scripture, on Scripture itself?

Sabbath drill: off. The Word doesn't need a productivity stack.

Monday Kickoff Week 4W4.M

Husbanding · Kickoff

Week 4: Husbanding.

Vision, strength, and a steady walk converge here — in the woman who shares your roof.

📜 "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." — [Ephesians 5:25–28](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — The 5-Minute Wife Audit (mirror, not script)
· SACA 2 — Prep One Hard Conversation (AI preps; you show up)
· SACA 3 — Stand Up the Weekly Family Meeting (a standing 20-minute huddle)

She doesn't need the polished speech. She needs you — sober, present, with the phone face-down.

Captain's Call Week 4W4.W

Husbanding · Mid-week Call

Wednesday — wife check.

Don't post specifics. Don't post what she said. Just drop one word: harder than I thought or softer than I thought or stuck — and that's enough for a brother to pray for you.

The conversation you're avoiding is the conversation she's already had with herself this week. AI helps you prepare. AI does not replace your presence.

Friday Close-Out Week 4W4.F

Husbanding · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [Ephesians 5:25–28](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud.

Then ask: did I love her as Christ loved the church — sacrificially, sanctifyingly — or did I just stay out of fights?

Sabbath drill: off. Phone down at dinner. Just sit with her.

Monday Kickoff Week 5W5.M

Fathering · Kickoff

Week 5: Fathering.

AI cannot disciple your children. It can help you ask better questions, plan better rhythms, draft better blessings — but the dinner-table look, the bedtime prayer, the watching of them work — that's the captain's seat.

📜 "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house." — [Deuteronomy 6:6–7](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — 3 Questions for the Dinner Table (ask one tonight)
· SACA 2 — Run the Monthly Family Survey (hear the crew, monthly)
· SACA 3 — Write Your Family AI Policy (with the kids)

A father who only asks about grades and chores is the manager of his home, not the dad of his children.

Captain's Call Week 5W5.W

Fathering · Mid-week Call

Wednesday — dinner-table check.

Which question did you ask? Which kid? What did they say? (No names, just the answer that surprised you.)

If you skipped — tonight is the rep. Three questions. Pick one. Use it.

The kid who knows his dad asked Claude for a better question for him specifically is a kid who knows his dad is paying attention.

Friday Close-Out Week 5W5.F

Fathering · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [Deuteronomy 6:6–7](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud.

Then ask: am I teaching them diligently — woven into the day — or only at scheduled "spiritual time"?

Sabbath drill: off. Saturday is for the kids to see you rest.

Monday Kickoff Week 6W6.M

Finance · Kickoff

Week 6: Finance.

Money tells the truth about a man's priorities before his mouth does.

📜 "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse… and thereby put me to the test, says the LORD." — [Malachi 3:10](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — Tithe-First Budget (giving is line 1)
· SACA 2 — The Values-Run Storehouse (write the values; the money obeys)
· SACA 3 — Legacy Plan Starter (will, beneficiaries, letter to family)

Never paste account numbers into AI. Totals only. The lawyer makes the will real.

Captain's Call Week 6W6.W

Finance · Mid-week Call

Wednesday — money check.

Did giving come first last month, or did it come last? Voice-memo the answer to yourself before you justify.

Drop one screenshot in the channel: a subscription you canceled today. That's the smallest visible rep. Three captains canceling one each = $30/month back to the kingdom.

Friday Close-Out Week 6W6.F

Finance · Close-out + Scripture Sit

Friday sit.

📜 Read [Malachi 3:10](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html) aloud.

Then ask: am I tithing on what I made — or on what was left over after I bought what I wanted?

Sabbath drill: off. The storehouse doesn't need another spreadsheet tonight.

Monday Kickoff Week 7W7.M

Sabbath · Kickoff

Week 7: Sabbath.

The captain who can't stop will not lead long. Sabbath isn't earned by a productive week — it's commanded so the captain doesn't become his own god.

📜 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy." — [Exodus 20:8](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

This week’s SACAs:
· SACA 1 — Plan Your Sabbath (24-hour disconnect protocol, on paper)
· SACA 2 — The Nightly Gratitude Journal (one line of thanks at 9:00 PM)
· SACA 3 — Teach One Person One Thing (the multiplication test)

The bootcamp doesn't end when you finish Week 7. It ends when the next captain starts.

Captain's Call Week 7W7.W

Sabbath · Mid-week Call

Wednesday — Sabbath check.

Have you picked the 24 hours? Have you told your wife? Have you decided where the phone sleeps?

The plan that isn't on paper is the plan that won't survive Friday afternoon.

Drop one word: planned or planning — that's all anyone needs to know to pray for you.

Friday Close-Out Week 7W7.F

Sabbath · Close-out + Commission

Friday — Commission.

📜 "And what you have heard from me… entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." — [2 Timothy 2:2](https://usmcmin.org/bible.html)

Sign your Captain's Charter. Post the screenshot in the channel.

Pick ONE brother. Pick ONE thing you learned. Walk him through it before next Friday. Watch him do it once. Don't take the keyboard.

Send him to family-captain.html. He starts where you started.

The commission is yours. The captain is sent. Sabbath drill: off. Forever this side of glory, the captain rests — then teaches.
